Celestial Guardian

Hanging in the night sky,

a silent witness to our stories,

a glowing orb of myths and dreams,

marking time and tides,

shaping our lives.

We gather under her light,

celebrating harvests,

worshipping deities,

casting shadows of longing,

whispering words of gratitude.

A dance of orbit,

a distant companion holding us close,

each phase a reminder of cycles and change,

new beginnings, old endings,

how she pulls the oceans,

how, too, she pulls our souls.

In her presence, we find connection,

to the past and each other,

a celestial body bridging the gap between the known and unknown,

a guiding light in the vast dark.

She’s closer now,

eclipsed and days from the Autumnal Equinox,

a rare event, a trifecta,

an omen of good fortune,

she’s watching over us,

just beyond the horizon.

You beautifully bring to light the moon's quiet power and its impact on our lives.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and evocative piece.

Wonderful!

I feel it’s a very apt Heading ..

The poem beautifully captures the moon’s profound mythological and spiritual significance across cultures. In various mythologies, the moon represents far more than a celestial body..

keep going ..
