Life is riddled with parallels.

It is the greatest poet

Carefully writing each line

Deliberate, decisive, allusive

Climbing Jungfraujoch was reminiscent

Of a time I cannot trace

But it exists nonetheless.

A time I climbed another

One far more treacherous

Of my own mind and body

Grasping at any ledge

Pleading to finally reach the top

To have control over myself

I cannot say when I reached it

But at the peak, I stand

My hands in the air

Laughs spilling over

Jumping, praising, crying

Adorning a smile so large

My cheeks ache

Climbing Jungfraujoch with my family

Allowed me to recall this feeling.

It was mirrored

Accomplishment, support, relief

The parallels teach us of ourselves

This was not my first mountain

It will not be my last

Your poem beautifully captures the parallels between your physical and personal journeys,.

The imagery of climbing Jungfraujoch alongside your inner struggles is both powerful and moving.

Your words resonate with strength, resilience, and the joy of overcoming challenges.

Thank you for sharing such an inspiring post and for reminding me that any mountain and fear can be overcome!

I look forward to your next climb!
