Whispers in the Deep

do you hear it

ree

the ancient song that travels

through miles of dark water

-what are they saying

they speak of memories

older than out civilizations

intelligence wrapped in

fluid grace and playfulness

-do they know we listen

yes

they have always known

their clicks and whistles map

the contours of our shared world

-I’ve heard they save drowning sailors

they remember kindness

and cruelty in equal measure

carrying both through generations

ambassadors from another consciousness

-will we ever understand them

perhaps not fully

but in their presence

we glimpse something profound

a mind evolved in parallel to our own

beneath the surface

-I wonder what they call us

probably something beautiful

and also

something true

Can you guess the animal that inspired this poem? Below is a codeword puzzle to help you solve it!

Dolphin!, but i was thinking more of blue whale

Blue whales evolved long before dolphins,

They communicate with a low pitched sound that can travel around entire world

They communicate with each other throughout the world (long distance calls if you may) till humans interfered with building ships and oil rigs interfering with their communication.

They’re loving and intelligent

Many times they have saved sailors
