Witness the Wonder

I used to think

the world only shifted

when the ground cracked open

the plates beneath clashing together

but then i saw the way

a single drop of rain

can wake a sleeping seed

and turn dust into a garden

how a kind word

spoken by a stranger

can carry you through a day

you couldn’t wait to end

how the sun keeps rising

even when no one thanks it

how love lingers in the spaces

between what is said and what is felt

I have learned

the smallest things

are the ones that change everything

the moment we start noticing

is the moment we start living

we are surrounded by beauty

by connection

its everywhere

all we have to do is look

and if we’re lucky

we can reach out our hands

and grasp it

the wonders of this world

harbored for safekeeping

cherished and preserved
